Business Development Manager

Our client is an international leader in construction materials and considered an authority within their field. They distribute a range of materials to a broad array of clients on an international level. The manufacturers are considered a leader within a highly competitive market.

The Distribution chain within Africa is firmly established and as such generate productive returns for the company. Our client is now looking for a Business Development Manager who will work from the UK based office and travel to Africa for three weeks out of every eight. This will be to work with the business generated by warm leads through a vast network of recommendations. Your role within the UK will be to liaise with manufacturers and distributors in several territories and as such it is preferable that you speak French and Portugese.

Although this is a Business Development role the requirement to create a pipeline of sales is not necessary as this is already in place. What is essential is the ability to converse at all levels to represent the company in the correct manner and further develop existing business.

Essential qualities would include:
+ Sociable at all levels
+ A 'Self Starter' who is hungry to develop
+ Versatile and have an ability to overcome minor hurdles
+ Can adapt to various audiences within a business environment

Preferable experience:
+ Dealing with international clients
+ Covering the African territory
+ Previous sales experience within construction sales

Initial interviews will be held in Milton Keynes and as such this must be taken into account when applying.
