Graduate Sales Recruitment News

Firms 'positive' about graduate recruitment

Companies are likely to remain "positive" about graduate sales recruitment during the credit crunch, one industry expert has suggested.

The news follows research by Deloitte which suggests that the skills pool is expected to reduce by 13 per cent over the next 40 years as the impact of the shrinking workforce takes hold.

However Elspeth Farrar, communications director at the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services, notes that in most sectors it is still easy to find work.

She said: "Students are still getting jobs and companies are still recruiting.

"Though it may be that in certain areas there is slightly more competition for places."

Meanwhile, the Association of Graduate Recruiters has found that 69.5 per cent of recruiters have more positions in roles such as sales jobs than they did in 2007.
