Graduate Sales Recruitment News

Presentation key at recruitment fairs

Prospective student employees seeking graduate sales recruitment should make sure they are well presented at recruitment fairs, it has been suggested.

Louise Sethi writes in the Independent that dressing professionally sends the company's sales recruitment representatives the right message.

"Dressing professionally signals to an exhibitor that the individual wants to make a good impression, especially if they've done their research and know something about the employer," she notes.

Meanwhile, competition is likely to vary according to the type of sales jobs graduates set their sights on.

According to the UK Graduate Careers Survey 2008, despite ongoing cut backs and job losses in financial companies in London, as many as one in eight finalists are targeting a city-based role.

As many as 40,000 job losses are expected this year alone in London's square mile, which makes career prospects look even starker.
