Graduates 'should consider internships'
Graduates looking for sales jobs should consider taking part in internships in order to improve their employability, it has been claimed.
Chris Morrall, managing director of jobseeker training group Talent Transitions, states that internships can help increase a candidate's networks and boost their profile within an organisation.
He added: "I would try and get an internship which has a structure to it and it fits their long-term goals and long-term aims."
"It's [about] increasing your skills, increasing your profile and employability as well."
Jobseekers should continue using recruitment websites and keep abreast of the skills that are now being asked for by companies, even while they are taking part of their internships, Mr Morrall added.
Earlier this month, High Fliers Research carried out studies indicating vacancies for those graduating from university this summer have been reduced significantly because of the continuing recession in the UK.
