Students can gain sales employment skills from part-time work
Students who undertake part time work during their time at university can gain a range of skills and experience which will help them achieve sales recruitment success.
Paul Redmond, head of careers and employability at the University of Liverpool and vice-president of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services, said that employment groups are keen to help students find part time jobs, as it can be a fantastic insight into graduate jobs.
"Often, even if your job is not directly related to your degree or even your career aims, you can develop skills that give you an insight into working life and organisations," he added.
Mr Redmond also said that the best way of planning for sales recruitment success was to maintain a work and study balance at university.
Students who have part time jobs at university will also have a head start when paying back study debts, which on average are around £23,000.
