Expert: Government's youth job creation is vital
If the UK wants to see the job market continue in its improvement, then it is vital that youth positions are created by the government, according to an expert.
Kevin Green, chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), said that the sales jobs market will continue to be extremely competitive over the coming year.
"It is essential that the Governments pledge to invest over £1bn to create 400,000 new youth job and training opportunities is met and that the private sector plays its part in getting younger candidates into work," he added.
Mr Green also commented that to avoid a lost generation of workers, the REC has created a coalition of employers, recruiters and welfare providers to help provide solutions to youth unemployment.
The news was also good across the Atlantic Ocean, with the US recording figures which showed job cut declines for the ninth consecutive month.
