Expert: Young people should be a priority
The sales recruitment future of young people should be the UK's priority, according to an industry expert.
James Caan, entrepreneur and star of the BBC's Dragon's Den, said that he would encourage employers to take on young people in an attempt to make sure that we do not miss out on a generation of workers.
"Employers must consider the talent in front of them, whatever age and experience. Who knows what value a fresh pair of eyes could add to your business," he stated.
Caan added that people need to be able demonstrate what they have got up to while they have been out of work during the recession.
"Show that you've been proactive and I'd be surprised if your application was then dismissed," he commented.
Robert Odhams, writing for CV Trumpet, said that its research has revealed a distinct level of optimism regarding the job market in the coming year.
