East London graduates given fast lane to sales recruitment success

Graduates in East London are being given a helping hand to achieve sales recruitment success through a government funded scheme.

The Fastlaners initiative, which is backed by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and run by the Young Foundation, is a two-week-long finishing school aimed at helping young people find employment.

It acts as a crash course on everything from voice training to teamwork, while soft skills which raise confidence are also taught.

David Lammy, minister of state for higher education, said that funding the project will make a real difference and ensure that graduates get an extra leg-up after leaving university.

"Particularly in these more challenging times, Fastlaners provides real help for new graduates to learn the types of skills which are so vital for the workplace. It brings young people into one place, learning from experienced mentors, to boost their confidence and reassure them that they are not alone," he added.

Recently, the importance of confidence was backed up James Borg, writing for the Daily Telegraph, who said that employers are on the lookout for positive graduates.

Aaron Wallis is a specialist marketing and sales recruitment agency that offers graduate sales jobs across a wide range of industry sectors. For employers, Aaron Wallis offers a unique graduate recruitment service that is backed by a 12 month rebate period.
